Elsa Yehdego is a first-generation born and raised in Axum, Tigray. She completed her B.A. at the University of Northern Colorado in International Affairs with an emphasis in the Middle East and Africa and a double-minor in Africana Studies and Recreation, Tourism, and Hospitality. Elsa graduated from the University of Denver with her M.A. in International Development specializing in Conflict Resolution, Gender and Human Rights. In 2018, she attended the GlobalMIndED Conference where she was influenced to change her career path and gained more understanding of bein​g a global citizen. She now holds the Director of Research position where she oversees and supervises research. In the long term, Elsa hopes to join either the U.S. Department or the United Nations in her pursuit to advocate for a just and equitable world for all.
