Amanda Reyes, the Director of Financial Capability at Nusenda Credit Union, passionately serves the community through developing sustainable financial capability programs and partnerships. With almost 24 years of teaching and leadership experience in special education, gifted education, and TESOL in pre-K to college, Amanda is currently teaching career and personal finance courses for high school dual credit programs at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) and Dona Ana Community College (CNM).

Holding a B.U.S degree from the University of New Mexico with a focus on ethnic and cultural studies, a M.A. in Special Education-Inclusive Practices for the Linguistically and Culturally Diverse Learner, and an Educational Leadership Ed.S. certificate, Amanda continues to mentor aspiring educators and administrators as an instructor in CNM’s post-baccalaureate teacher education program and as a ProjectGLAD trainer with Dual Language Education New Mexico and Orange County Department of Education, National Training Center.

Amanda currently serves as: President of Golden Apple Foundation of New Mexico, Board Member of Technology Leadership High School, Girl Scout troop leader for older girls, and Advisory Board member for the CNM and DACC’s Business departments, CNM’s Education department, and NM Educator’s Rising.
