Suraya Yahaya has more than 20 years’ experience in the technology, cable and telecommunications fields in strategy and execution, nationally and globally. With a background in legal and business, Suraya has held leadership roles driving enterprise growth, operational efficiency and strategic implementation in both large and startup functions.
Suraya is skilled at executing operational scale and transformation strategies; from ideation to implementation. She has built diverse teams that deliver measurable results through fiscal responsibility, innovation and growth.
Suraya currently serves as COO for OTG Consulting, a technology consulting firm specializing in infrastructure and operating efficiency improvements. Most recently, Suraya was Vice President of Access Management at Comcast Business, where she built the out-of-market network access supplier strategy program for the company. Prior to that, Suraya held roles as Vice President Customer Access Strategy and Vice President Enterprise Transformation at Windstream Communications, where she led the negotiation and implementation of multi-billion dollar partner agreements, improved cost management on operational investments and executed quote-to-cash enterprise efficiency programs. Previous to that, Suraya held roles at TW Telecom, Inc., in the legal and regulatory advocacy fields.
Suraya earned her law degree from the University of Liverpool in the UK, and her MBA from Regis University in Denver, CO. She is an advocate for expanding the role of women and minorities in technology leadership and serves as a mentor for LadyCoders, and organization that mentors and supports young women in tech. She also serves on the Board of Spark the Change Colorado, a non-profit that provides organizational and strategic input into volunteerism in the community. However, her biggest passion is serving the underserved and being an advocate for diversity, equity and equal access for immigrants, first-generation and low income individuals and communities both domestically and internationally.
