My name is Nima ShahabShahmir, I am a first generation college student study at West Virginia University Institute of Technology majoring in Information Systems and minoring in Business Administration. I am working on the environment-friendly research project called Future Fungi, LLC to grow biodegradable products as a substitute to single use styrofoam and plastic products. Recently I have started working on developing an educational application funded by NASA Space Grant Consortium at WVU Tech.

I love STEM and believe that each branch of this field will have great positive outcome for our future. I am also a member to First 2 Network which is a National Science Foundation supported program to encourage high school and first generation college students to pursue a degree in STEM fields of study.
