A graduate of the renowned, California Institute of the Arts Character Animation program, Michael “Ffish” Hemschoot is a 20+ year veteran of the Animation and Visual Effects industry. His work has been seen in some of the top Hollywood films of the past two decades, including two recipients of the Academy Award for Visual Effects Achievement: What Dreams May Come, and The Matrix. In 2009, he founded Worker Studio and has grown the company into a premiere creator and provider of animation, visual effects and augmented reality content, including their original STEAM-inspired, edutainment character and property, Cosmonut.
Prior to founding Worker Studio, Michael contributed his creative talents as a VFX Generalist and Senior Animator, specializing in character and creature performances, to nearly two dozen feature film projects for world-class studios like, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros, Disney, and Paramount.
Michael is also a director and has been a key animation contributor to many commercial projects for notable international organizations such as: Nintendo, City of Denver, UCD, Microsoft, AstraZeneca, Nissan, Elanco, UCC Coffee, and Delta Dental.
