Melinda is Managing Director of Real World Solutions, LLC., a consulting company that provides practical training and coaching in intercultural awareness and competence for professionals and organizations in business, health care, education and community services. Her career spans academic and corporate positions globally and locally. Her interest in the Center for Teaching International Relations (CTIR) and the World Affairs Challenge (WAC) began many years ago and was a result of the influence of her mother, a teacher, who travelled and led educational travel programs in the 1960s through the 1980s. Global leadership is critical to our future and the CTIR/WAC empowers middle and high school students to believe that “they can make a difference” by taking action both globally and locally.
