Faviola Armendariz is a Denver Native and a first generation graduate from Colorado State University. As a daughter of two immigrants and a working family, she saw the injustice and discrepancy her parents faced in the workplace. Before being an organizer with Colorado Jobs With Justice, she registered voters and helped permeant residents become citizens. During her internship at the Denver Office of Economic Development she helped high school students apply for summer jobs and internships. These experiences helped her develop skills to become an organizer. Faviola is now organizing women in the construction industry as they are underrepresented in the trades. The women are now leading recruitment efforts, membership development, fundraising and community service. Faviola enjoys talking to women about the construction industry and the benefits it has to offer.
