Train Wu currently serves as Director of Diversity Pipeline at Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC) located in Gardner, Massachusetts. Wu holds a B.S.W. in Social Work from Rhode Island College and a M.Ed. of Higher Education in Student Affairs from Merrimack College, Andover, Massachusetts.
Train has over ten-years experience working in both private and non-profit institutions, specializing in working with communities of color. Prior to becoming the Director of his current position, Train worked as an Academic Counselor for MWCC’s National Workforce Diversity Pipeline/Project Healthcare Program, whose main objective is to increase the number of underrepresented minority and disadvantaged health care providers by creating a high school to college pipeline of students who plan to enter the health care field. In his role, Train assists in early college initiatives, instructs the college credit bearing, First Year Experience course, and provides college and career coaching. Among other community activities and professional affiliations, Train has served ten years on the board of directors for Three Pyramids Inc. / The North Central Massachusetts Minority Coalitions., a social justice non-profit organization in North Central Massachusetts. Train also serves as President of United Hmong of Ma, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that empowers the Hmong community in Massachusetts.
