Dr. Marianne Mazzorato holds degrees from University of Guelph (Bachelor of Applied Science), University of Toronto (Bachelor of Education), Brock University (Master of Education) and University of Toronto (Doctorate of Education). Marianne began her teaching career at the Dufferin-Peel catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) in 1983. During her 34 years as an educator, she has served as Elementary Teacher, Vice-Principal, Principal, Superintendent of Schools, Superintendent of Program and Superintendent of Early Years, Community Partnerships/Relations. From 2011-2013, she was seconded to the Education Quality and Assessment Office (EQAO) as Chief Assessment Officer. Dr. Mazzorato is currently the Director of Education for the DPCDSB. The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board serves approximately 82,000 students in 151 schools located throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon and Orangeville. With approximately 11,000 employees, the Board is also one of the largest employers in the region.
