Kayla’s passion for student success derived from her undergraduate experience as a student orientation leader. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree, she served the University of West Georgia (UWG) working directly with transfer student records in the Registrar’s Office and often collaborated with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for campus events. Kayla served as an academic advisor in the Advising Center at UWG.  Her strengths focus on relationships and rapport building, skills she believes make her the “cool advisor.” Kayla earned her B.S. in Mass Communications and her M.Ed in Counseling – College Student Affairs from the University of West Georgia. She currently serves as a SUMMIT Advisor and social media manager for the Office of Academic Advising and Accessible Education, and as a Staff Fellow for the Gay Johnson McDougall Center for Global Diversity and Inclusion at Agnes Scott College.
