Jade Irving is an advocate for higher education. It is her life’s passion to add increased support for the most at-risk populations within institutions of higher education in the state of West Virginia. Whether it is through success coaching, academic monitoring, or the development of research-based curriculum to address the unique needs of these students, Jade is devoted to the retention, matriculation, and overall success of those who have all the odds stacked against them. Serving in the role of Retention Specialist at West Virginia State University, Jade is privileged to work with the most at-risk populations and create programming to engage these students. The ultimate goal is not only to enhance students’ college experience, but to posture them for success in their selected field upon graduation.
