Heidi has over a decade of experience launching and leading summer teaching fellowships in cities across the country. Heidi believes all students deserve quality teachers who are deeply invested in the local community. She has shown a career-long commitment and investment in educational equity through building the teacher pipeline. As the Chief Program Officer at Generation Teach, she oversees all Colorado programs, manages strategic partnerships, and leads operations and growth across the country. Heidi brings experience as a 6th-grade teacher at KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy and eight years of experience directing and launching Breakthrough Collaborative summer programs. At Breakthrough, Heidi led student recruitment, selection, and support; curriculum development and implementation; and volunteer, intern teacher, and instructional coach recruitment, selection, and supervision. She founded two Breakthrough sites in new cities and served as the chair of Breakthrough Collaborative’s Directors’ Council and represented directors on the Breakthrough Collaborative Board of Trustees. Heidi manages the California region of Middlebury College’s Alumni Admissions Program. She holds her B.A. in Environmental Science, Biology, and Education from Middlebury College.
