Rodolfo A. Fiorini is Professor of Bioengineering in the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB), Politecnico di Milano University, Milano, Italy. He received his Ph.D. in Energetics in 1984 and in Bioengineering in 1989. He had joined research projects with Stanford University and University of California at Los Angeles.

Prof. R.A. Fiorini is the founder and coordinator of the Research Group on “Computational Information Conservation Theory” (CICT) at DEIB (Dept. of Electronics, Information and

Bioengineering), Politecnico di Milano University, Milano, Italy. Since 2009, he has been responsible for the new course on “Wellbeing Technology Assessment” (WTA) at the same university.

He has received awards and honors from Italian National Research Council, University and Research Ministry, U.S.A DOL, etc. His research activity has concerned with instrumentation systems for advanced biosensing (EEG, MEG, fMRI, BCI, VR, AR, MR, etc.), wellbeing, healthcare, perception, information coherent quantification and actuation, neurophysiological interfaces, bio-inspired system, collective/personal intelligence, evolutive cognition, creativity, evolutive information, knowledge representation, modeling and simulation, AI, ES, intelligent networking, cognitive computing, human- machine interfaces, computational reasoning.

Currently, Prof. R.A. Fiorini is devoted to organizing international conferences, working groups, meetings etc., as well as cultivating young minds to the incoming wellbeing society.
