Diana Sofia Chavez is a 18 years old first generation student perusing a bachelors degree in Bilingual Education. Diana has been inspired for her career since she moved to the United States, since she lived most of her life in Mexico, she struggle with the English language, this was converted into hard work and created the desire to help other students in the same position as her, and decided to study Bilingual Education in English and Spanish. She believes that education is the key for success and to have a better society. What inspires her to teach is to travel around the world teaching kids English or Spanish and be able to connect communities throughout the world, providing student success. Diana was the secretary for TAFE (Texas Association for Future Educators) and has gather experience in the education field thanks to the child development lab located in Coronado High School. Diana has a 4.0 GPA and it is part of the College of Education’s Dean List in the University of Texas at El Paso.
