Ava Rose Johnson made history at 12 years old being the youngest to win a Native American Music Award for Best Independent Recording By A New Artist for her song, “Heaven’s Window” that she co wrote with Billy Dawson, Lainey Edwards and Sean Fuller (former drummer for Florida Georgia Line). Most recently, Ava was the youngest recipient of Oklahoma’s NextGen Under 30 Award in the Performing Arts category. Ava is currently nominated for 3 Native American Music Awards (Best Female Vocalist, Best Country Recording and Best Pop Video) for her latest single, “There’s A Boy”. NAMA winners will be announced in November 2022. “There’s A Boy” has risen to #2 on the Indigenous Music Countdown charts on Sirius XM. (at the time of this email it is currently #2). Ava recently completed 8th grade at Eufaula Middle School and in the Fall of 2022 will begin her freshman year at Eufaula High School in Eufaula, Ok.
