Amanda’s passion for combining her research capabilities with her practitioner experience is the hallmark of EvolvED’s consulting practice. Often, Amanda will hold a leadership role during a transitional or start-up phase of a new idea.  Her sweet spot is as a temporary Chief Strategist and/or Growth Officer.

Amanda has the skills, acumen, passion, and teams to guide a myriad of small business, major CSR efforts, educational institutions and entrepreneurial ventures to success.

As 2017 kicks off, Amanda will be focused on working with several major Universities on socially responsible and entrepreneurial education programs. Additionally, she is collaborating with several start up organizations seeking impact investments.  Amanda will also continue her work with leading non-profits that are making a difference in the Global Community.

Academically, Amanda continues to write and research the science and methodologies related to EvolvED’s periodic table.  These methods are the foundation for her work, and will serve as the core of her efforts at the University of Pennsylvania throughout 2017.

She was also recently responsible for the launch and strategy of Open Mind, a new methodology for linking TV to Learning.  Open Mind’s funder, Litton Entertainment, was recently purchased by Hearst Publications.

In 2014/2015, Amanda was charged with leading, organizing and “re-setting” the Saylor Academy’s set of free courses.  These are courses available to their nearly 100,000 monthly users seeking alternatives to quality education.

As a consultant, Amanda has successfully advised a variety of for-profit and nonprofit clients.  These include Arent Fox, AOL/Time Warner, AstraZeneca, BlackBoard, Dupont/Pioneer Seed, Education Design Lab, George Mason University, Georgetown University, GSX, Idea Village, Medimmune, the National Association of College Stores (NACS), the International Youth Foundation (IYF) and Rising Tide Capital.

She has worked at all levels of education, including a major initiative with the U.S. Department of Education, and as project director for the NCAIS’s Master Teacher Academy.

Amanda has directed marketing initiatives for nationally recognized programs in the pharmaceutical, legal and technology industries, and has assisted Fortune 500 companies to create or reform their market strategy and product implementation.

Passionate about encouraging social entrepreneurship, Amanda is particularly interested in educating the next generation to build stronger and more sustainable communities. She has taught courses in organizational development, organizational change, social entrepreneurship, and policy and innovation on both the undergraduate and graduate level at institutions such as Georgetown University, George Washington University, Pepperdine University, University of Maryland, and the University of Pennsylvania.

Amanda is a celebrated guest lecturer who speaks on the topic of entrepreneurial education for a variety of clients.

Prior to launching her consulting career, Amanda co-founded and directed the nonprofit organization, the TLT Group. The TLT Group focused on aspects of teaching, learning and technology as they relate to the higher education arena. In this role, Amanda consulted with more than 700 institutions, and designed and coordinated more than 75 workshops and 10 major national conferences with leaders in academia and educational technology companies.

She has long developed and maintained a network of hundreds of change-makers and disrupters currently serving the education, legal, and business communities.

Amanda earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Psychology from George Washington University, a Master’s degree in Organizational Learning from George Mason University and a doctorate from George Washington University. Her research examined how cities and companies use social capital and social networks to build entrepreneurial and innovative communities.
