Sandra Guarín Tarquino has twenty years of experience in internationalization of HEIs, international cooperation, glocal stakeholder connections, and project and grant management. She was the first National Coordinator of the Colombian Network for the Internationalization of Higher Education (RCI) and is co-founder of the Latin American Initiative for the Internationalization of Higher Education (INILAT). She has served as consultant and lecturer in comprehensive internationalization, international cooperation, and non-state diplomacy. Currently she is the Director of International Relations at Universidad Antonio Nariño (UAN) in Colombia, active member of the International Association of Universities (IAU) Global Cluster on Higher Education and Research for Sustainable Development (HESD), and advisor to organizations seeking to develop impactful collaborations. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, a graduate degree in European Studies and a master’s degree in Management and Development Practice.
