Rochelle Kolhouse has been a teacher in District 49 in Colorado Springs for the past twenty-five years and has been an online adjunct professor for the University of Phoenix for the past fifteen years. She was the blended high school science teacher for Springs Studio for Academic Excellence and was named Online/Blended Teacher of the year in 2013 for the state of Colorado. More recently, she worked as an Instructional Coach for the iConnect Zone, developing training courses for best practices in blended learning and creating professional development opportunities for teachers working in blended learning environments. She has enjoyed being integral in starting both Springs Studio for Academic Excellence and Pikes Peak Early College. For the past five years, Rochelle has been the principal of Pikes Peak Early College. Pikes Peak Early College is the sister school to Springs Studio and operates on the same campus. Blended learning and early college opportunities truly are her passion and area of expertise. She looks forward to continuing to open young minds to different ways of thinking and learning. She looks forward to providing students with as many unique and beneficial self-discovery and learning opportunities as possible.
