Norton is a member of the board of directors of the Prison Math Project,  is a former math educator and tech executive with Hewlett Packard.   In his volunteer role with the PMP,  Norton seeks to expand the opportunities to support incarcerated individuals in their quest to become productive members of society.    Norton sees our prison system as an integrated element of our overall education system… not dissimilar from the detention or ISS rooms in public schools.   In the end,  he believes our focus is on supporting all learners to achieve their full potential,  regardless of their origins or detours.
